MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (TCD) -- A 22-year-old day care worker was arrested and charged after allegedly exhibiting inappropriate and sometimes violent behavior toward children.
According to WMBF-TV, on July 12, a witness saw Megan Sallee, a former employee for KidZone Day Care, leave two children in bouncy seats for half a day, which caused bruising to their backs. She also allegedly shook a crib holding a victim on July 15, and the juvenile hit his head against the crib railing.
Additionally, Sallee stands accused of pushing the juvenile down in the crib, and she allegedly placed a blanket over the child’s head on several occasions.
All incidents reportedly happened throughout the day at KidZone while Sallee was on the job.
According to WBTW-TV, KidZone Day Care is no longer in business, and the new day care center at the same location is not affiliated with KidZone, nor did they hire Sallee.
Sallee was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 17, and charged with unlawful conduct toward a child, records show. She remains held on $10,000 bond.
