BALTIMORE (TCD) -- A 63-year-old man stands accused of fatally stabbing his 53-year-old girlfriend and dumping her body.
According to a news release from the Baltimore Police Department, on Sept. 21 at around 1:45 p.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Kloman Street to a report of a suspicious death. At the scene, authorities reportedly found a deceased woman, later identified as Kelly Logan, lying under the railroad tracks.
Police said the victim showed obvious signs of trauma. The Medical Examiner’s office reportedly removed her remains, and an autopsy will be performed.
Bruce Poole’s family turned him in to police, and he eventually told investigators he stabbed his girlfriend to death during an argument on Sept. 17, WMAR-TV reports.
Poole and the victim reportedly lived together at an apartment complex on Park Heights Avenue.
According to WMAR, surveillance video revealed Poole using a shopping cart to remove a plastic bag. Authorities reportedly believe Logan’s remains were inside that bag.
Court documents obtained by WMAR allege that Poole said two other people helped him dump his girlfriend’s body.
According to police, Poole was arrested on Sept. 22. He was charged with first-degree murder.
