Tennessee mother found dead in remote area after disappearing from Walmart

MADISONVILLE, Tenn. (TCD) -- Two people are in custody after a 24-year-old missing woman who vanished from a Walmart was reportedly found dead.
According to a news release from the Madisonville Police Department, Chelsie Walker was officially reported missing on Oct. 31, and an investigation was launched. Walker was last seen alive in a Walmart and at a home in Tellico Plains on Oct. 29, WNCN-TV reports.
Several days later, on Nov. 6, police said Walker's remains were found in a "remote area" in Monroe County. Two people were reportedly arrested, but police did not disclose their names. Formal charges are forthcoming, and the investigation remains ongoing.
In a Facebook post, the Knox Daily Sun said Walker was a mother to two.
According to police, multiple law agencies are assisting with the investigation, including the Tellico Plains Police Department, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the Tellico Plains Police Department, the Vonore Police Department, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations Cybercrimes Unit, and the District Attorney’s Office.
