BENSALEM, Pa. (TCD) -- A 16-year-old suspect stands accused of killing someone after allegedly showing a photo of the victim's body to an acquaintance on Instagram.
Shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, Bensalem Police officers received a report of a possible homicide, according to the department. The caller reportedly said that her daughter received an Instagram video chat from Joshua Cooper.
In the video chat, police said Cooper told his acquaintance that he killed someone. Cooper allegedly showed a video image of the victim, displaying "the legs and feet of someone covered in blood."
Cooper reportedly asked his acquaintance to help him dispose of the victim's body.
Police said they responded to Cooper's mobile home on Gibson Road. At the scene, officers reportedly found a deceased juvenile female on the floor of a bathroom with a fatal gunshot wound.
According to police, "There were also indications that substantial steps were taken to clean up the crime scene."
Cooper was eventually located near Newport Mews Drive and Groton Drive, police said. He was reportedly arrested and charged as an adult for criminal homicide, possessing instruments of crime, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
During his arraignment, police said Cooper was denied bail and transported to Edison Juvenile Detention Center.
