ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. (TCD) -- A 30-year-old off-duty police officer was arrested this week after he allegedly peed in an ice machine and shoved a bar employee.
According to the affidavit, on Dec. 5, Richard Kees, an employee at The Beachcomber Hotel, was "attempting to get ice from the ice machine when the victim discovered the defendant 'pissing' on the ice in the machine."
The defendant has been identified as Henry Capouch.
The affidavit says Capouch "began verbally cussing the victim and pushed him 'a couple times'" when Kees asked him to stop. Capouch also allegedly shoved a security guard, who was a "witness to the defendant shoving the victim."
A Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office deputy arrived on the scene and located Capouch on the beach with his girlfriend. Capouch was reportedly "actively resisting" arrest and "initially not obeying lawful commands while being detained."
Capouch reportedly yelled at the deputy and kept standing even when the deputy told him to sit.
He has been charged with simple battery because he allegedly "utilized both his hands and shoved the victim in the chest a couple of times.”
According to WGN-TV, Chicago Police are conducting an internal review.
