PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (TCD) -- Police are searching for a 20-year-old father who reportedly disappeared "under suspicious circumstances" right before Christmas.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, Jose Guerrero was last seen leaving his home in Woodbridge on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at about 8 p.m. His car was reportedly found two days later on Dec. 23, and police believe Guerrero "may be in need of assistance which qualifies him as endangered."
Sheila Perez, Guerrero’s girlfriend and mother of their 10-month-old daughter, told WUSA-TV the two of them had plans to go ice skating and look at Christmas lights right before he went missing.
Guerrero reportedly told Perez he would "be right back," and when he didn’t return, she started getting worried.
According to WUSA, Guerrero’s phone was turned off at around 8:40 p.m., but his last known location showed Route 1 in Woodbridge. Perez then filed a missing person report to the Prince William County Police Department.
WUSA reports a Prince William County Police officer told Perez they found a "big amount of blood in the backseat of the vehicle," so they towed it to look for additional evidence in the car.
