Ohio woman charged in 11-week-old infant’s death

BROWN COUNTY, Ohio (TCD) -- A 27-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the death of an 11-week-old infant.
According to a news release from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, on Sept. 24, 2022, at around 7:12 a.m., deputies received a report of an unresponsive 11-week-old infant from a home at 4515 State Route 286 in Mount Orab, Ohio.
An investigation was reportedly launched shortly after the infant was transported to Mount Orab Mercy, where the child was pronounced deceased.
Several months later, on Feb. 9 at around 1:40 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office said Kayla Sullivan was arrested at her home on State Route 286 in connection with the infant’s death. She was reportedly charged with involuntary manslaughter and endangering children.
The Sheriff’s Office did not specify the suspect’s relationship to the victim.
