5 arrested, including minor, after home invasion investigation leads to discovery of buried body

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, Va. (TCD) -- A home invasion investigation that led to the discovery of a dead body resulted in the arrest of five people, including a 17-year-old male.
According to a news release from the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office, on the night of Saturday, Feb. 11, and into the early hours of Sunday, Feb. 12, deputies learned of a home invasion on the 8600 block of Back Creek Road where armed suspects reportedly broke into the residence. Deputies responded, and while on scene, a suspect vehicle returned to the home.
The Sheriff’s Office said deputies performed a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle and arrested the three individuals inside: 35-year-old Kathryn Wright, 19-year-old David Ford, and a 17-year-old male.
Authorities reportedly recovered numerous firearms from the vehicle.
Upon further investigation, the Sheriff’s Office learned 36-year-old Kayron Tyrone Long was missing from the victims’ home on Back Creek Road. Investigators also reportedly learned two victims of the home invasion, 33-year-old Edward Hodges and 24-year-old Winfrey Henry Jr., "were involved in the disappearance of Kayron Tyrone Long."
Investigators found a buried body in the 2900 block of Carmines Island Road, and in an update posted by the Sheriff’s Office, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner positively identified Long as the victim.
Hodges was reportedly charged with concealment of a dead body and accessory to a felony after the fact, while Henry was charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and concealment of a dead body.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the juvenile, Ford, and Wright each face charges of breaking and entering with intent to commit assault while armed. Additionally, the juvenile was reportedly charged with use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a minor, and armed robbery.
The Sheriff’s Office said Ford was charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and larceny-firearm.
Lastly, Wright was reportedly charged with principal in the second degree to armed robbery.
