WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (TCD) -- An outspoken toddler helped lead to the arrest of a wanted 45-year-old woman hiding in a house after adults in the home refused to answer questions about her whereabouts.
According to the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, on Feb. 24, two deputies along with officials from the Williamsburg Police Department and Kentucky State Police went to a residence in Williamsburg to serve "multiple outstanding warrants" for Tina Hicks' arrest.
None of the adults divulged the fugitive’s exact location, but then the toddler added his two cents to the conversation.
The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department said, "A very brave and honest toddler stood up, put his hands on his hips, and stated, 'It is good to be honest… We shouldn’t lie. She is inside the room next to the bathroom!'"
Deputies went to the room next to the bathroom and found Hicks hiding.
One of the Whitley County deputies "commended the toddler for his integrity and service to the community."
Hicks was served with outstanding warrants out of Whitley County for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia as well as four other warrants.
NBC News reports the toddler did not live at the home and was there visiting family.
