Ohio teen found guilty of killing 18-year-old high school girlfriend days before graduation

BRUNSWICK, Ohio (TCD) -- A 19-year-old man was recently found guilty of fatally shooting his 18-year-old high school girlfriend in 2022.
On Tuesday, May 3, 2022, Brunswick Police responded to a report of a shooting on the 4300 block of Southwick Boulevard, where they found a female shot to death.
The victim, Alyssa Pinardo, was just days away from graduating, WJW-TV reports.
Upon further investigation, the victim’s boyfriend, Logan Robertson, was arrested on suspicion of Pinardo’s murder.
On Monday, March 13, the Medina County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Robertson was found guilty of murder, as well as a gun specification. He was sentenced to 15 years to life and an additional three years for the gun specification.
During the trial, Robertson reportedly argued that the fatal shooting of his girlfriend was an accident.
