Arizona man allegedly shot wife to death in front of his four young children

CHANDLER, Ariz. (TCD) -- A 38-year-old man is accused of fatally shooting his wife while his four children, all under the age of 9, were present.
On March 14, the Chandler Police Department responded to an apartment building near Frye Road to a report of a domestic violence-related shooting. At the scene, officers reportedly found the male suspect, identified as Mohammad Alkurdi, outside the apartment with his four children.
According to police, officers searched the home and found Alkurdi's wife shot to death.
After allegedly shooting the victim, Alkurdi left his wife’s body inside a bedroom closet, KPHO-TV reports.
A neighbor initially called 911 after Alkurdi allegedly admitted to shooting his wife, and one of the children also told the neighbor that his father fatally shot the victim.
According to KPHO, Alkurdi bought the gun on Sunday, March 12, and purchased the bullets on Tuesday, March 14.
Alkurdi was arrested and charged with first-degree homicide. Child endangerment charges are possible as well.
Alkurdi reportedly has a criminal history of domestic violence and allegedly threatened a woman with a knife.
