N.C. woman allegedly hit boyfriend with glass bottle during fight before her son stabbed him in the neck

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (TCD) -- Police arrested a 32-year-old woman for allegedly attacking her boyfriend over the weekend with a glass bottle.
On Sunday, April 16, at 10:28 p.m., Fayetteville Police Department officers responded to a stabbing call on the 200 block of Bonanza Drive and found a male with a stab wound to his neck. Medics transported the man, who remained unidentified, to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives from the department’s Aggravated Assault Unit went to the residence on Bonanza Drive and learned the victim got into a domestic disagreement with his girlfriend, April Mcrae. Fayetteville Police allege Mcrae hit her boyfriend with the glass bottle during the argument. Then, Mcrae’s son allegedly stabbed the victim in the neck. Police did not reveal the juvenile’s age.
Mcrae was taken into custody on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Cumberland County Jail without bond. Her son was charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Fayetteville Police said the son is in custody at the Juvenile Detention Center.
