MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (TCD) -- A 38-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing a man in the face with a broken hanger and holding him against his will in his RV.
Horry County Jail records show Angela Marie Zona was booked Friday, May 12, on charges of first-degree assault and battery and kidnapping. She was released the next day after posting $15,000 bond.
A Horry County Polcie report cited by WBTW-TV says the male victim, who was suffering a "puncture wound to the face," went up to security at Pirateland Campground and told them Zona stabbed him in his RV. Security went to find Zona and located her under the RV. The Pirateland officials helped detain Zona until Horry County Police Department officers arrived.
The victim also reportedly had scratch wounds on his torso.
According to WMBF-TV, prior to the man's escape, Zona allegedly refused to let him out of the RV. He reportedly tried to flee several times, but Zona locked the doors and stabbed him with the broken hanger.
Horry County Police did not find the weapon while searching the RV, but detention officers at Horry County Jail later discovered it hidden in her hair.
