TULSA, Okla. (TCD) -- Police recently announced the arrest of a man who allegedly AirDropped nude photos of himself to strangers earlier this month.
According to a news release from the Tulsa Police Department, on May 1 at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to a report of indecent exposure at an apartment complex near the area of 71st and Sheridan. Employees at the complex reported that Staijeck Helm, the suspect, initially entered the apartment building to apply for an apartment.
While Helm was applying for an apartment at a computer, employees allegedly received AirDrop notifications from another iPhone attempting to share photographs.
The employees reportedly opened the files and "received photos of Staijeck Helm fully naked in front of a mirror, along with photos of his genitals."
Police announced this week that they arrested Helm, and he was charged with indecent exposure. Officials did not release a motive or whether the AirDrop was intentional.
Tulsa Police encouraged iPhone users to "adjust their AirDrop settings to only receive AirDrops from 'Contacts Only.'"
