LOUISVILLE, Ky. (TCD) -- Police arrested a 34-year-old woman last week on suspicion of killing a man during an argument about a roll of wrapping paper.
On Thursday, May 25, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Louisville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment on the 9600 block of Arrowridge Drive, where they found a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police identified Zaira Ferraiuolo as the primary suspect and took her into custody, though the victim was not publicly named.
According to WDBR-TV, Ferraiuolo allegedly told investigators the victim hit her with a wrapping paper roll, and they got into an argument. Ferraiuolo allegedly went into the victim's room armed with a "handgun, magazine and ammunition" and shot him in the head.
Ferraiuolo was reportedly the only other person in the apartment, and she admitted to police that "she killed someone."
Ferraiuolo was booked into the Louisville Metropolitan Department of Corrections on Friday, May 26, on a charge of murder.
