ROWLETT, Texas (TCD) -- An 83-year-old man stands accused of fatally shooting a 78-year-old woman over a fight they had regarding her new relationship.
According to a news release from the Rowlett Police Department, on Saturday, June 3, at approximately 6:50 p.m., officers responded to the 8500 block of Seafield Lane to a report of an unconscious person. At the scene, officers found Sharon Radebaugh suffering from a fatal gunshot wound inside her home. Officials pronounced her dead at the scene.
Police identified Wilson Elliott of Trinity, Texas, as the primary suspect.
Investigators allege the shooting was "not a random act of violence." According to police, the incident "stemmed from a previous relationship," and Elliott confessed that he fatally shot Radebaugh "after a confrontation over her new relationship."
Elliot was arraigned on Sunday, June 4, on a charge of murder, and his bond was set at $1 million. The Dallas County District Attorney’s Office will formally file charges.
