Ohio woman allegedly posed as CPS agent and tried to lure boy to her home

NORWOOD, Ohio (TCD) -- A 44-year-old woman is in custody after allegedly impersonating a Child Protective Services worker and trying to lure a 4-year-old boy to her home.

According to WCPO-TV, on Saturday, June 17, Lisa Nacrelli allegedly knocked on the door of the victim’s home and claimed she worked for Child Protective Services. Nacrelli, who was wearing a badge, allegedly asked to enter the victim’s home to perform an inspection because someone had filed a complaint against them. The child’s mother said Nacrelli even knew all of her children’s names.

Nacrelli, however, did not leave her contact information for the parents. The victim’s parents felt something was off and reportedly reviewed surveillance footage and saw that Nacrelli touched their son, put her arm around him, and stroked his hair before she spoke with them.

The family did some research and learned Nacrelli was not, in fact, with Child Protective Services.

The mother told WCPO, "Everything was a lie, and now we’re sitting here on top of being enraged that this even happened, terrified because I don’t know what her plan was."

According to WCPO, court documents allege Nacrelli said she had been drinking since earlier that day. In a handwritten statement, Nacrelli reportedly said, "I walked to Kroger to get more beer. On the walk home, I saw a young child that I felt wasn’t being supervised, so in an attempt to scare the parent, I pretended to be from CPS."

Nacrelli, who lives near the minor victim and his parents, allegedly asked the boy to come with her to her home three different times before he rushed to alert his parents.

Norwood Police officers arrested Nacrelli and booked her into the Hamilton County Jail on a charge of criminal child enticement. On June 20, police filed additional charges of burglary and impersonating an officer. Nacrelli remains held on $10,000 bond.
