Calif. man allegedly fatally stabbed woman in front of their young children

SALINAS, Calif. (TCD) -- A 32-year-old man turned himself in after allegedly stabbing the mother of his children to death over the weekend.
According to a news release from the Salinas Police Department, on Sunday, June 25, at around 3 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing on Natividad Road. At the scene, police found 30-year-old Eleni Tavau suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Tavau’s two toddlers were reportedly nearby when officials arrived.
Officers attempted lifesaving measures before transporting Tavau to a hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
According to police, Rodrigo Bravo turned himself in at the Salinas Police Department at approximately 5:30 p.m. in connection with the slaying.
Family members told KRON-TV that Bravo is the father of the victim’s young children. Investigators reportedly learned Tavau had a restraining order against Bravo.
Police booked Bravo into the Monterey County Jail on charges of murder, felony child endangerment, violation of probation, and violation of a domestic violence restraining order.
Tavau reportedly leaves behind three children.
