BATON ROUGE, La. (TCD) -- A 42-year-old woman accused of killing her boyfriend this year reportedly admitted to fatally shooting her former partner in 2021.
According to a news release from the Baton Rouge Police Department, on Saturday, July 15, at approximately 7:17 a.m., officials found 34-year-old Christopher Holden dead from apparent gunshot wounds at Flannery Road Park on South Flannery Road. Volunteers cleaning up the park discovered the body, WBRZ-TV reports.
In surveillance video from the night before, Janice Frazier, the victim’s girlfriend, is reportedly seen with another person leaving an apartment building in different vehicles and acting "suspiciously." They then allegedly met up at the park where Holden’s body was later found.
Police identified Frazier as the primary suspect and arrested her July 16 on charges of second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. Police allege she shot Holden on July 14 before his body was transported to the park.
During an interview, WBRZ reports that Frazier told officials her son, 23-year-old Christopher Smith, was at the apartment at the time of the shooting.
Smith reportedly told investigators he heard a gunshot and later saw Frazier and 45-year-old Gregory Williams putting the body in the back of a vehicle. Smith allegedly went with Frazier and Williams to the park where the body was placed.
On July 20, Baton Rouge Police announced they also arrested Williams and Smith in connection with Holden’s shooting death.
Williams faces charges of second-degree murder and obstruction of justice, while Smith faces charges of accessory to second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. Both suspects were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
In an update posted by the Baton Rouge Police Department, officials said while in custody, Frazier admitted to also killing her former boyfriend, Emanie Anderson Jr., whose shooting death remained unsolved. According to police, officers found Anderson’s body on Hyacinth Avenue on Oct. 14, 2021, at approximately 1:40 a.m.
Frazier faces additional charges of second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon in connection with Anderson’s slaying.
