DECATUR TOWNSHIP, Pa. (TCD) -- A 20-year-old man was arrested this week after he allegedly crashed his car into the second story of a home.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, on Aug. 6 at 3:15 p.m., troopers responded to a car crash at a residence on Alfarata Road and determined the "crash was an intentional act."
The Junction Fire Company shared photos from the scene, which show the car at an angle on the roof with a back wheel hanging off. The Toyota Corolla’s entire front grill and bumper are destroyed. The home’s entire top window appears shattered along with the wall of what looks to be a home gym. Junction Fire said the suspect was not in the car, and firefighters put a tarp over the giant hole to protect the house from impending storms.
Court records show Miller faces eight charges, including aggravated assault, careless driving, reckless driving, recklessly endangering another person, and more.
WJAC-TV reports several people were sitting on the bottom story of the home right under the room where Miller crashed the car. Following the incident, Miller allegedly ran around the scene and claimed he saw demons. Court documents cited by WJAC allege he also "believed he was a demon."
Medics transported Miller to a nearby hospital, where he reportedly made animal-like noises to a police officer and kicked a security guard.
According to WPMT-TV, officials believe Miller was driving about 90 to 100 mph when he crashed. He reportedly hit a culvert, and the car went flying.
An official at the scene reportedly said Miller was "attempting to inflict self-harm due to a mental health episode."
