KEITHVILLE, La. (TCD) -- A 22-year-old woman was arrested this week after she allegedly stabbed her grandfather in the face because they got into a fight "over her hygiene habits."
In a statement, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a residence on the 3900 block of Fountainbleu Road on Aug. 29 due to a domestic dispute. Carrington Harris reportedly told investigators she and her grandparents started arguing because they "asked her to shower."
After they requested Harris to wash herself, she reportedly damaged the inside of the home and shut off the power. Her grandparents tried attempted to restrain her, but then Harris allegedly found a knife and stabbed her grandfather in the face. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the Sheriff's Office did not have an update on his condition.
Following the attack, Harris ran into the woods and hid for several hours until deputies found her near another home in the area.
Harris was arrested on charges of domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse battery with a dangerous weapon.
