CINCINNATI (TCD) -- A woman and her grandmother face multiple charges after three children under the age of 7 were hospitalized due to severe malnutrition.
Records show 26-year-old Hannah Johnson was charged with six counts of endangering children and three counts of kidnapping, while her grandmother, 72-year-old Dianna Johnson, faces three counts of endangering children.
According to WLWT-TV, Cincinnati Police responded to a residence on Halsey Avenue in the city's Sedamsville neighborhood after someone called to report a foul odor coming from the home. When officers arrived, police were told it was just a dead raccoon. Police, however, reportedly did not see any of the kids while at the house.
Once they left, Hannah Johnson reportedly drove her three children to her mother's house in Tennessee.
WXIX-TV reports the children are 7, 6, and 4 years old.
Once they got to Tennessee, Hannah Johnson's mother reportedly took the children to the hospital for treatment. They all weighed less than 30 pounds.
Jail records show Hannah Johnson's bond is set at $25,000, but Dianna Johnson is still waiting to be arraigned.
