Body found in Wisconsin Pizza Hut dumpster

SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. (TCD) -- A homicide investigation is underway after police discovered a body in a restaurant’s dumpster last week.
On Wednesday, Feb. 7, shortly after 11 a.m., the South Milwaukee Police Department responded to the 100 block of North Chicago Avenue in reference to a dead body in a garbage cart.
According to WITI-TV, the remains were found outside a Pizza Hut.
Police identified the victim as 55-year-old Alex Stengel. Investigators allege he was the victim of a homicide, but authorities did not say how he died.
Police arrested a 31-year-old man on Sunday, Feb. 11, in connection with this case, but officials did not disclose the suspect’s name. The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office is expected to file charges.
Police said the investigation is ongoing with assistance from the Wisconsin State Crime Lab.
