HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. (TCN) -- Authorities recently arrested a woman for allegedly committing sexual acts on her young son for money.
On Sept. 23, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office learned about the allegations after receiving a tip from a social media platform that contained child sexual abuse material in which a woman was performing sex acts with a toddler. Authorities identified the suspect as 21-year-old Jenna Ann Hoffman of Brooksville.
According to the sheriff’s office, detectives spoke with one of Hoffman’s family members, who was shown a still shot of the explicit material, and they identified the victim as Hoffman’s 23-month-old child. The family member reportedly grabbed Hoffman from the residence, and she agreed to speak with detectives.
Deputies said Hoffman admitted to committing sexual acts on her son and said a stranger on social media offered to pay her to produce and send the sexual child abuse content. Hoffman allegedly created the videos at her home before sending them, but she told detectives she wasn’t paid.
Hoffman faces charges of lewd and lascivious molestation — victim under 12 years of age, promote sexual performance of a child, possession of sexual performance of a child with intent to promote, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
Hoffman was booked into the Hernando County Detention Center and remains held without bond.
