Texas woman allegedly fatally shot her boyfriend when he returned to get his belongings

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (TCN) -- A 23-year-old woman stands accused of killing her boyfriend in a stairwell over the weekend.
In a statement posted by KHOU-TV, Major Earl Dean with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said that on the night of May 25, authorities responded to an apartment complex in reference to a disturbance and a separate call of shots fired. Responding deputies found a deceased male, identified by Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez as 22-year-old Javion Williams.
Upon further investigation, officials determined Derricka Ross allegedly fatally shot her boyfriend, Williams, when he
"returned to the apartment to get his belongings."
According to KHOU, authorities recovered a gun at the scene.
Gonzalez announced that Ross faces a charge of murder and remains held in the Harris County Jail.
