PALM BEACH, Fla. (TCN) -- A man has been arrested and charged with criminal mischief after allegedly cutting open and eating raw parts of a dead hog at a popular photo spot.
WFLX reports Palm Beach Police were called to the town’s landmark clock tower on the morning of Nov. 23 by a witness who saw a man cutting up a dead animal before driving away.
The tower is a popular spot for sunset and proposal photos, CBS News reports.
According to WPEC, a witness believed it was a German shepherd dog being cut up.
License plate readings revealed the suspect to be Jonathan Houston, 27. He told police the animal was a hog and emailed a video he had taken. Houston reportedly often records videos of himself with dead animals and posts them to social media.
The video shows Houston holding up a dead hog that is split open and then biting into it, WLFX reports. According to WPEC, Houston’s Instagram account, which focuses on similar content, had approximately 3,000 followers as of Dec. 10.
Houston was released from jail on a $20,000 bond.
