SAVANNAH, Ga. (TCN) -- A woman and her boyfriend met a man on an adults-only swingers website, but their scheduled meetup ended in a shooting.
On Dec. 4, Alfonso Warner, 40, was arrested and taken into custody without incident by the Savannah Police Department in connection with a fatal shooting on Nov. 29, WTOC reports.
At around 5 a.m. that day, a woman, who has not been named, called the police and said a man had been shot and she was driving him to the hospital. First responders met them on the way, but the victim, Arthur Gaynor, 48, died of his injuries before arriving at the hospital.
On Dec. 17, investigators said in court the shooting took place during a planned meetup, WTOC reports. The woman allegedly met Warner on a local adults-only website for swingers, SDC Swingers Lifestyle, and they texted and met up before the day of the shooting.
During a text message exchange, Warner allegedly agreed to let the woman bring her boyfriend, Gaynor, to a meetup or “playdate” and they arrived at his apartment around 1:30 a.m., WTOC reports.
The woman claimed Gaynor felt disrespected during the meetup, so she suggested they leave. As they were gathering their things and getting dressed, the woman alleged Warner entered the room and shot Gaynor in the stomach.
Warner has been charged with murder and aggravated assault, according to the Savannah Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.
