N.Y. dad allegedly attacked family with knife and dumbbell before committing suicide

NEW YORK (TCN) -- A man took his own life after allegedly stabbing his wife and daughter and hitting his teen son in the head with a dumbbell.
The New York Posts reports police were called to a home on Feb. 1 for an assault. Responding officers were told 53-year-old Roy Victorio had attacked his wife, 52, and his children, 21 and 15. The names of his family members have not been released.
Hoodline reports the attack stemmed from an argument between Victorio and his 15-year-old son. Victorio’s wife was reportedly wounded on the head with a knife, his daughter was slashed on the hand, and the teenage son was hit in the head with a dumbbell. Victorio then turned the knife on himself, and he was found with wounds to his throat and abdomen. The knife and dumbbell were both recovered from the scene.
According to the New York Post, all family members were transported to the hospital to be treated, and Victorio died from his injuries. The three victims are in stable condition.
Victorio and his wife worked as physical therapists. According to a neighbor who spoke to the New York Post, police had been called to their residence a few months prior.
The investigation is ongoing.
