‘Dress for arrest’: Florida man in stolen inmate outfit cuffed for trespassing

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. (TCN) — A man in a stolen jail uniform was arrested for trespassing at a hotel, according to authorities.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office announced that deputies were called to a hotel regarding a guest who was allegedly refusing to leave after his reservation ended. When deputies arrived at the room of Farron Fullerton, they found that he was wearing a striped inmate uniform. He allegedly resisted efforts to be handcuffed.
Deputies investigated his background and confirmed that he had allegedly stolen the uniform before leaving the Mitchell County Jail, and that he was not an escaped inmate. Sheriff Wayne Ivey said, “I’ve heard of dress for success, but never dress for arrest!!”
NBC Miami reports that 53-year-old Fullerton was booked into jail on charges of trespassing and resisting an officer without violence.
Ivey said, “We hope Fullerton enjoys his stay at the Lodge, we’re not sure how it compares to Mitchell County Jail yet, so we will have to wait for his review upon checkout.”
