NORTH WEEKI WACHEE, Fla. (TCN) -- A motorcyclist is facing several charges in connection with allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase across county lines.
On May 3, troopers observed a motorcycle with an unreadable upside-down license plate attempting to pass cars at a high speed, WTVT reports.
Police attempted to stop the motorcyclist, later identified as 29-year-old Dalton Hubbert, but he allegedly sped up to 120 miles per hour and ran several red lights to avoid being pulled over. The chase continued across county lines, according to WTVT, before Hubbert eventually pulled over. He was wearing a helmet with bunny ears and allegedly had a handgun on his person.
Hubbert was arrested and transported to Pasco County, Florida, to be booked into jail. WTVT reports Hubbert is facing charges of fleeing and evading law enforcement, reckless driving, driving more than 50 miles per hour over the speed limit, and use or display of a weapon during the commission of a felony.
