Woman allegedly threatened Taco Bell employees with gun because she was angry her order was taking so long

CHESTER, Md. (TCN) -- A woman has been arrested and charged after police say she brandished a gun at Taco Bell employees.

According to the Queen Anne County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at a Taco Bell restaurant on June 18 after receiving a report that a woman was threatening employees with a gun during an argument. Officers detained 30-year-old Ashley Andrews, who allegedly had the gun, as well as another person who was involved in a verbal altercation.

Employees told deputies Andrews had allegedly become angry over the wait time for her food and lifted her shirt to show them her gun. The witness statements were corroborated by surveillance and cellphone footage taken inside the restaurant, according to the sheriff’s office.

The firearm was loaded, according to WKRC.

Andrews was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and disturbing the peace/disorderly conduct, and was banned from returning to that Taco Bell location.

Law & Crime reports Andrews posted $5,000 bail the next day and is scheduled to appear in court on July 23.
