Court docs allege Indiana man was ‘helicoptering his genitals’ in neighbor’s yard

INDIANAPOLIS (TCN) -- A 45-year-old man has been charged with indecent exposure after police say he exposed himself and was captured on two different home security cameras.

According to court documents obtained by WTHR, an officer arrived at a home to investigate a reported trespassing on June 13. Responding officers spoke to a woman who said she was awakened at 5 a.m. by her security camera.

WXIN reports the victim, whose name has not been released, initially believed it was an animal on the camera before realizing it was allegedly a man she had interacted with before, James Davidson.

WTHR reports the victim said Davidson had exposed himself to her in the past and she’d made a police report. On June 13, she told police Davidson faced the camera and was “helicoptering his genitals, masturbating, and playing with himself.”

On June 14, police received a report that Davidson had exposed himself to another woman who lived next door to him. She alleged he was “creeping around her house” and was seen on security footage allegedly touching himself and moving in a manner similar to the first incident, according to WHTR.

Davidson was charged with two counts of public indecency and criminal trespassing. Court records obtained by WTHR state that he has been convicted of public indecency three times since 2024. 

He is scheduled to appear in court for his initial hearing on July 9, per WHTR.
