CORRINA, Maine (TCD) --
Two parents were arrested last week after their 11-month-old child overdosed on drugs.
Penobscot County Sheriff's deputies and Corinna Fire personnel responded to a call from a Corrina residence at 9:17 a.m. on June 26 about a young girl suffering from a "medical event" and found an 11-month-old girl in cardiac arrest.
The sheriff's office says the infant was transported to Sebasticook Valley Hospital where she was "successfully resuscitated and stabilized."
Penobscot County Sheriff's deputies interviewed the girl's parents, 22-year-old Taezja DiPietro and 26-year-old Zachary Borg, and conducted a search of their home. Investigators allegedly found fentanyl in "several rooms of the house," which included the girl's bedroom.
DiPietro and Borg were arrested Thursday night, July 1, according to WABI-TV.
It was not clear if the 11-month-old ingested fentanyl or another drug.
DiPietro and Borg were charged with aggravated furnishing drugs to a minor; domestic violence reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon; endangering the welfare of a child; and possession of fentanyl.
Records show both DiPietro and Borg were booked into the Penobscot County Jail.
WABI reports DiPietro's bail was set at $50,000 and Borg's was set at $10,000.
According to WABI, DiPietro and Borg's bail conditions stipulate they are not allowed to contact each other or use any intoxicating substances.
