Pa. man accused of trying to kill 92-year-old father with blanket in his hospital room

CAMP HILL, Pa. (TCD) -- A man faces an attempted homicide charge after he allegedly tried to kill his 92-year-old father in his hospital room.
According to East Pennsboro Police, on Feb. 26 at 7:17 p.m., officers were called to Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill regarding an assault. When they arrived, officers learned a staff member at the hospital allegedly saw John Stoll Jr. attempting to end the elderly man’s life.
WHTM-TV reports Stoll Jr. purportedly held a blanket over his father’s face. He left, and officers found him in a truck outside the hospital. Police spoke with Stoll Jr. and he later "admitted he was attempting to kill his father."
Court records show Stoll Jr. has been charged with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault with attempts to cause serious bodily injury, and strangulation. His bail is set at $250,000.
