QUEENS, N.Y. -- (WPIX) -- New surveillance video and a photo obtained by "Crime Watch Daily" released Monday shows slain Queens jogger Karina Vetrano just moments before her death.
A video camera near Spring Creek Park in Howard Beach caught sight of Vetrano at 5:46 p.m. Aug. 2, just moments before authorities believe she was viciously attacked and five hours before her body was found in the park.
The 30-year-old was beaten severely, sexually assaulted and killed during a solo jog — an expedition she typically made with her father. Phil Vetrano sat out that day due to back pains.
Her father, along with a search party, discovered his daughter's body hours after she left for the run.
