Exclusive: CWD interview with NYC jogger Karina Vetrano's best friends

Chanel Lewis, 20, was charged with second-degree murder and is being held without bail, police said. He faces up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted.

Crime Watch Daily was the first to uncover video of New York City jogger Karina Vetrano capturing the very last images of her alive.

New York City Police Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce is leading the murder investigation and invited Crime Watch Daily into his war room for rare access to this headline-grabbing case.

Crime Watch Daily also spoke with Toni Corcello and Natasha Ikonomou, Karina's best friends. Natasha says she may have been the last one to text back and forth with Karina just minutes before she was strangled on August 2.

Natasha's says her last text was at 5:37, barely three minutes before Karina is seen here going on her fateful evening jog. Natasha said nothing triggered any alarms that Karina could be in danger.

Karina's inconsolable parents have invited Crime Watch Daily into their home when the girls dropped in. They want to share their extraordinary bond with Karina.

Karina's battered body was found in a thicket of tall weeds off the jogging trail. Chief Boyce says the petite athlete fought with her last dying breath.

Boyce reveals Karina's killer could be left-handed. The assailant's DNA was found on her neck, under her fingernails and on her cellphone.

Boyce believes the killer could still be walking around with faded scars and scratch marks.

Police have also released a sketch of a man they want to talk to.

A reward for $300,000 has been offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the killer.
