RIDGEFIELD, N.J. (TCD) -- A 42-year-old Bronx woman's body was found buried in a barrel on a Bergen County sidewalk after she was last seen alive in a high-end Lower Manhattan apartment complex.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office announced August 13 that remains were found inside a "large plastic container" at 10:38 a.m. near Hobart Street and Teaneck Road in Ridgefield Park. On August 20, the Prosecutor's Office identified the victim as Nicole Flanagan.
The New York Police Department told NorthJersey.com that Flanagan's last known location was 95 Wall Street, a building in the heart of Manhattan's financial district. WLNY-TV reports Flanagan lived in the Bronx's Woodlawn neighborhood and allegedly worked as an escort, though police reportedly would not confirm the information cited by multiple outlets.
According to WLNY, surveillance video from 95 Wall Street allegedly shows someone rolling a barrel out of the building on a luggage cart.
The New York Police Department told NorthJersey.com that Flanagan's cause of death has not yet been determined.
According to her obituary, Flanagan grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut, and had three children.
