Uber driver shot dead on duty in Inglewood; shooter at large

LOS ANGELES -- (KTLA) -- Police are investigating the fatal shooting Sunday morning of an Uber driver who was on duty.
Shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday, the Inglewood Police Department received several calls of shots fired in the 3700 block of 109th Street. Officers found Andre Jamal Bayyan, fatally shot, sitting inside a vehicle, police said.
There is no information on a suspect at this point, police said. Bayyan is from Los Angeles.
An Uber spokesperson confirmed that Bayyan was a driver with Uber and was on a trip at the time, but did not give details on whether he was en route to pick up a passenger or was dropping one off.
