Texas man allegedly killed girlfriend and was caught driving her vehicle while intoxicated

GILCHRIST, Texas (TCD) -- The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office announced charges this week against a 45-year-old man accused of fatally shooting his 45-year-old girlfriend and driving her pickup truck while under the influence.
On Thursday, May 25, at around 4:41 p.m., the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office performed a welfare check at a home in the 1000 block of Head Hunter Drive, where deputies found Tina Kelley deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
The Sheriff’s Office discovered that Kelley’s boyfriend, Raymond Borden, had been arrested on May 21 for driving while intoxicated and evading arrest. According to the statement, Borden was in Kelley’s pickup truck when he was taken into custody.
Investigators searched the truck and reportedly found the gun they believe Borden allegedly used to kill Kelley.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office filed an arrest warrant against Borden on a charge of murder. He remains held in the Galveston County Jail on $256,000 bond.
