Actor Mark Salling indicted on 2 counts of receiving, possessing child pornography

UPDATE Dec. 18, 2017:
Mark Salling pleaded guilty Monday to Count 2 of an indictment against him in a Los Angeles courtroom.
The second count charged Salling with possessing two videos depicting child pornography and young girls, on December 29, 2015.
Crime Watch Daily was there as Mark Salling was flanked by both attorneys Michael Proctor and Kimberly Singer at the U.S. Courthouse in downtown Los Angeles.
Salling is scheduled to appear for sentencing in the same courtroom on March 7, 2018 at 2:30 p.m.
UPDATE Oct. 4, 2017:
TMZ reports that Mark Salling has plea-bargained his child pornography case, pleading guilty to possession of child pornography involving a pre-pubescent minor.
Salling and prosecutors agreed the appropriate sentence should be 4 to 7 years in prison, with 20 years of supervised release. The sentence is ultimately up to a judge, TMZ reports.
Mark Salling and his attorneys signed the plea deal on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017, according to the plea agreement filed Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017.
Among the conditional obligations of the plea agreement, Salling agrees to register as a sex offender and participate in counseling and/or treatment, according to court records.

Mark Salling was charged with receiving and possessing child pornography on his computer and a flash drive in a federal indictment announced Friday by the U.S. Attorney's Office.
A two-count indictment was returned Friday by a federal grand jury, naming Mark Salling, 33.
The first count alleges Salling used the Internet to receive a still image and a video depicting child pornography on December 26, 2015, featuring young girls.
The second count charged Salling with possessing two videos depicting child pornography on December 29, 2015, also depicting young girls.
UPDATE 4:55 p.m. PT: Sources tell Crime Watch Daily that many of the images confiscated on Mark Salling's electronic devices contain images of prepubescent children under the age of 10.
A laptop computer, a hard drive and a USB flash drive were seized from Mark Salling's home on December 29 during a raid. Investigators found thousands of images and videos depicting child pornography on the devices. Investigators then referred the case to federal authorities.
As Crime Watch Daily first reported, Salling, 33, was arrested December 29, 2015, after the Los Angeles Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, in partnership with Homeland Security, obtained a search warrant for his home in Sunland, California.
Salling is best known for his role as Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the hit TV series "Glee."
The charge of receiving child pornography carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison and a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years. The charge of possessing child pornography also carries a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Salling, through his attorney, has agreed to surrender to federal authorities on June 3 to face the charges in the indictment, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. He is expected to be arraigned on the indictment on that date.
Crime Watch Daily spoke to Salling's attorney Dmitry Gorin on Friday morning, who had no comment about the case at this time.
