SANDUSKY, Ohio (TCD) -- A man and a woman, both 32, were arrested over the weekend after they were allegedly caught having sex on a Ferris wheel at a popular amusement park.
According to the police report, on Sunday, Aug. 14, a Sandusky Police officer received a call from Cedar Point Police Sgt. McCullough saying he needed assistance at the Cedar Point Ferris wheel, known as the Giant Wheel, because there were reports of a couple having sex. The responding officer, Nicole Kennedy Bogard, arrived and spoke with the accused couple, David Davis and Heather Johnston.
Johnston allegedly told Bogard she "had shorts on under her dress and dropped her cigarette pack out of them. She bent over to pick them up and David helped her."
Bogard then spoke with four juvenile witnesses who had been on the Ferris wheel at the same time. The police report says one of the teens "saw the adults in the cart above them having sex" with the woman on her hands and knees and the man behind her.
The girls could reportedly "feel the cart shaking and see both the male and female moving back and forth."
Davis and Johnston allegedly could tell the four teens were watching and they "started laughing and continuing their behavior."
One of the witnesses says she was "very shaken up" and "traumatized."
When Bogard spoke with Davis and Johnston after talking to the witnesses, Davis allegedly "denied anything and said nothing had happened."
Eventually, however, they reportedly admitted to having intercourse on the ride. Johnston and Davis were arrested for public indecency and booked into the Erie County Jail.
