Ky. father arrested for allegedly disciplining his children with an electric cattle prod

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (TCD) -- A 32-year-old father was arrested and charged after allegedly shocking his children with a cattle prod as a form of punishment.
According to a news release from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, March 31, deputy Greg Poynter arrested Anthony Jones near Littontown Road, around 4 miles north of London, after obtaining two complaint warrants for his arrest on charges of criminal abuse in the third degree –– child 12 or under and criminal abuse in the third degree.
During the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office learned Jones allegedly "used an electric cattle prod multiple times on two children for discipline."
Jones was booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center and is scheduled to appear in court on May 2.
Jones remains held on $5,000 bond.
