Man arrested for murder of teen girl found hanged in Utah

SPANISH FORK, Utah -- (KSTU) -- A Spanish Fork man is accused of murder after the body of a 16-year-old girl was found hanging from a tree in Payson Canyon.
Sergeant Spencer Cannon of Utah County Sheriff's Department said investigators were called to Maple Lake campground in Payson Canyon around 7 a.m. Saturday morning after a group of Turkey hunters spotted a 16-year-old girl hanging dead in a tree.
"As they were conducting that part of the investigation, a young man comes up to them and says, 'I know who this girl is, and I was here when she died,'" Sgt Cannon said.
