TUCSON, Ariz. (TCD) -- A 37-year-old man was recently arrested in Texas after allegedly assaulting and trying to kidnap a pregnant real estate agent two months ago.
According to the Arizona Republic, on Oct. 8, Tucson Police officers responded to a report of a possible kidnapping near Glenn Street and Mountain Avenue. A pregnant real estate agent was reportedly showing a house to a potential buyer when a man, later identified as Donasti Davonsiea, allegedly assaulted her with a weapon and tried to restrain her.
The victim was able to escape and call for help, the Arizona Republic reports.
The victim reportedly miscarried three days after the assault and was released from the hospital.
The Tucson Police Department announced that they obtained an arrest warrant for Davonsiea, who also goes by Juan Nunley Jr., for manslaughter, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and attempted armed kidnapping. Police offered a reward up to $13,000 for any information leading up to his arrest.
Nearly two months later, KSAZ-TV reports that Davonsiea was located in El Paso, Texas, and taken into custody. Records show Davonsiea is currently held in El Paso County Jail, but he will reportedly be extradited back to Arizona.
