Idaho police investigate body found in burning pickup truck

LEWISTON, Idaho (TCD) -- Local police are searching for information as they investigate a "suspicious death" involving a body found in a burning pickup truck.
The Lewiston Tribune reports that on Oct. 2, Lewiston Police responded to a call at approximately 3:20 a.m. about a vehicle blaze on Nez Perce Drive. Officers reportedly found a 2007 GMC pickup truck engulfed in flames. The Lewiston Fire Department arrived on the scene and put out the fire, which is when police reportedly discovered a body inside the car.
Lewiston Police Department Capt. Jeff Klone reportedly said in a press release the autopsy could not reveal a manner of death or the person’s identity, according to the Lewiston Tribune.
The Lewiston Tribune reports on the day of the fire, SWAT officers entered a residence on the 1800 block of 12th Avenue, but it was reportedly unoccupied.
On Friday, Lewiston Police posted on Facebook asking residents to send any video that could be related to the investigation. Police said there are two time frames and locations that they need information about. The first location is 1800 12th Avenue from Wednesday, September 29, at 10 p.m. until Thursday, September 30, at 4 a.m. The second time location and frame is 2900 Nez Perce Grade from Friday, October 1, at midnight until 4 a.m.
Lewiston Police are looking for a 2010 silver Dodge Nitro, a dark 2000 to 2005 Subaru station wagon, and a 2007 silver GMC Sierra pickup truck.
