Texas hospital employee allegedly places recording device in bathroom

SUGAR LAND, Texas (TCD) -- A hospital employee was recently arrested and charged after allegedly installing a recording device in a bathroom, which was found last month.
According to a news release from the Sugar Land Police Department, an employee at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital discovered the recording device on Oct. 4 in an employee-only restroom within the facility. Upon further investigation, authorities reportedly identified Ben Aquino as the suspect.
Police said Aquino was arrested and booked into the Fort Ben County Jail on Nov. 2 for invasive visual recording.
Sugar Land Methodist Hospital told KTRK-TV that Aquino has since been terminated from his position.
Aquino remains held on $25,000 bond. According to police, the charge he faces is a state jail felony offense.
