GOODYEAR, Ariz. (TCD) -- A 46-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly shooting at two teenagers in a car following an altercation in early September.
On Sept. 7 at 9:14 p.m., Goodyear Police responded to calls about a shooting in the Walmart parking lot on North Estrella Parkway and learned an adult female and two juveniles had had a disagreement. The adult, Shydonica Black, allegedly shot at the teens. No one was injured during the incident.
According to court documents cited by AZFamily.com, Black and a teen reportedly got into the dispute because Black allegedly nearly hit them with her vehicle while they walked in the parking lot. Black reportedly threatened to "blow their heads off," and the teens drove off. Black fired her gun at the other car multiple times, causing the back windshield to break.
Black’s two children were in the car with her at the time of the dispute.
KSAZ-TV reports police noted in the documents Black "was honest and very apologetic for this incident. She stated she wanted to apologize to both victims and knew her actions were wrong."
Goodyear Police arrested Black on Sept. 25 and she was indicted on charges of drive-by shooting and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
She was booked into the Maricopa County Jail with bond set at $25,000.
