CLEVELAND (TCD) -- Two 17-year-olds and one 12-year-old were located and arrested this week for their alleged involvement in two shootings that occurred in February.
In a March 14 statement, the U.S. Marshals Service said members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) received information about a suspect potentially located at a residence on the 9800 block of Gambier Street. The suspect, a 12-year-old male, was wanted for the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Devon Orr. According to the statement, the 12-year-old was out on bond for attempted murder charges and allegedly removed his ankle monitor.
NOVFTF officials reportedly entered the residence on Gambier Street and located the 12-year-old, as well as a 17-year-old suspect in the same killing. The two males were reportedly found hiding in the basement.
As officers searched the home, the U.S. Marshals said task force members found another 17-year-old wanted for the Feb. 11 shooting death of 21-year-old Bryan Conley. Conley was reportedly found in a car with "multiple gunshot wounds."
NOVTFT task force members worked with Cleveland SWAT to search the home and confirm no other suspects were hiding inside.
U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said in the statement, "It is astonishing that a 12-year-old is the suspect into a murder investigation, especially one with such callous and blatant disregard for human life. Our team will continue to work closely with the Cleveland Division of Police to arrest anyone else wanted in connection to these crimes and anyone who commits violence in our cities."
