LAS VEGAS (TCD) -- A woman who went viral for claiming she’d never get caught while stealing several items from a store was put back behind bars this week for reportedly skipping her court date.
On Tuesday, May 2, the Las Vegas Metro Police Department said officers were looking for 51-year-old Nicole Waters after she "disappeared" and failed to show up to court. She was wanted on charges of robbery and burglary of a business.
Police announced Wednesday, May 3, that she was taken back into custody and booked into jail.
Waters gained notoriety in early March when she was recorded March 6 carrying several items in a Las Vegas Strip store and said to the camera, "They’ll never catch me," with a laugh. Las Vegas Metro Police arrested her March 16 on the robbery and burglary charge.
Clark County court records show she was released on bail the following day with conditions to "stay out of trouble" and to "stay away from" the Walgreens on Las Vegas Boulevard. In April, the court noted Waters, however, "had multiple violations and violated no-contact order."
Records also indicate the incident this week was not the first time she neglected to appear in court.
Her bail is set at $10,000 and she is once again ordered to not get in trouble and to avoid the Walgreens.
