DALLAS (TCD) -- Two men who allegedly lured a 14-year-old girl into a van in October 2021 are now facing child pornography production charges.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas, on Oct. 23, 2021, Lukumond Olatunji, 43, and Vincent Thompson, 41, allegedly pulled up near the 14-year-old victim as she was walking home from school. The victim, whose name was not disclosed by the U.S. Attorney's Office, reportedly thought the men were going to provide her with a ride to her grandmother’s house.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says that instead, Olatunji and Thompson took her to an alley, "allegedly raped her and recorded part of their crimes on Mr. Thompson's cell phone. They then drove her to a motel, where they rented a room and allegedly raped her again."
According to the Dallas Morning News, the two suspects held the victim down as they took turns assaulting her. Olatunji and Thompson reportedly exited the room to grab condoms at one point, giving the victim an opportunity to escape. The U.S. Attorney's Office says the 14-year-old girl encountered a woman who drove her to a local gas station to call for help.
Olatunji and Thompson were arrested at the motel, and according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, upon an interview, Olatunji eventually admitted to having intimate relations with the minor after originally denying the allegations that he sexually assaulted her. Thompson reportedly admitted to both engaging in sexual intercourse with the minor and recording the crime on his phone.
Olatunji and Thompson were arrested in Dallas on Wednesday, Jan. 12, and face charges of production of child pornography and aiding and abetting child pornography. They were scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, Jan. 12.
